Despite the cable carrying, literally, thousands of volts, it seemed to have been cut through with an axe !! How desperately would you have to want that cable, FFS ??? Because the price of metal,because of the chinky and indian market,went through the roof,every scrote in the country,apart from the honest lads about,yeh right,filched every piece of metal not nailed down,church and school roofs are now bereft of mucky bendy lead,kids can no more leave their bikes or skateboards in the garden,manhole covers need welding in place,shopping trolleys are worth more than a quid and copper is the new gold,railways need guards to protect their cable and electricity substations fry a smack ed a week,Apart from all that the yards are turned over on a regular basis and now they insist on ID,even from thre honest lads weighing in?,don,t laugh. Tau, dogs, dipping tanks the lot. Never seen so many tippers doing u turns. Fair play to them though the feckers cut our power off abit back sent a surge down the line and fecked allsorts of stuff up. Power was off all day for 15 quids worth of copper. iv got no issue with if there collecting shite or unwanted stuff but robbing churches/ schools or stuff thats needed is a c**ts trick. scothunter 12,609 Posted July 5, 2013 Report Share Posted July 5, 2013 there a few cables in the concrete trak. it used to be the case where you pulled all the cables one by one and the slackest cable was the one you chopped,it had the lowest voltage,and was harmless.then you just kept pulling it through and chopping into manegable legths.lol and no i never did it myself.but knew a guy who did it often back in ther 80s when like now the country was on its arse.used to find his stripped out cables or fires when we went ferreting lol. aye but no chance id try that,get the wrong cable and its good night vienna.also you could very well cause a f***ing train crash.if caught you deserve the book thrown at you.
