BORDERSCOT 3,816
I like most jock food. They do these roll things up in Aberdeen, really unhealthy, loads of salt butter and lard but they taste bloody lovely warm with another load of butter slapped onto them! Butteries...top class those... My mother-in-law's from Aberdeen and she always fetches them back...

Butteries...top class those... My mother-in-law's from Aberdeen and she always fetches them back... Aye, butteries, rowies, morning rolls, Aitkins rolls, etc.. Like most thing's up there they've got about a half dozen words for the same thing! We usually buy a load on the morning when we're coming back and freeze them. They ain't cheap when you get the proper bakery ones though. They do supermarket versions of them up there in the Morrisons and Tesco's but they ain't the same IMO..
