long you boil them for? i know it goes in the oven for a bit,oh remember to sprinkle some sugar over it when you stick it in oven. no sure if thats just what my maw does or if its the proper way.

2 1/2 - 3 hours be ready to go in the oven gas mark 4 for 15 mins at about 8.30 tonight.

 

Is that caster sugar Scot or ordinary stuff?

Is that caster sugar Scot or ordinary stuff?[/just put it in the oven till the skin goes brown/ dry leave the door open a bit as well 3/4 mins would be sufficient , never heard about the sugar , try that next time keep to the ingredient ?. But oot Scott lol

couldnt tell you mate tbh what sugar she uses for that.she always gives it a wee sprinkle over the top before putting it in oven. just guess lol

I'll try the next one with a bit of sugar.....haymin just 5 minutes(door open) or until it goes brown then is it?

 

Smelt beautiful mixing it up, real fruity smell, can't wait to get into it nom nom nom. :D

The alcohol from a spirit burns/evaporates off during the cooking process mate, they don't like to waste any of it.. :D

Ahhhhh and its usually served with a wee dram.......gonna make some bara brith with a drop of whiskey or brandy. :D
