Gonna go get my ingredients tomorrow so hopefully my first attempt will be here sometime this week.

 

I'm excited its like "the great british bake off" :laugh:

Welsh cakes next mate! :D
I'll do them the night before the comp Mal, so they're at there best. :D
Aye either that or straight off the plank, no other way to eat 'em mun! :D

Straight off the plank ??? It's called a naan ..........

 

Plank is what they call a hot-plate type thing..........a naan is bread. :laugh:

what stovies?

 

peel some tatties,slice them like you would if you were making chips,only dont chip them ,thinly slice a couple onions.

layer of slice tattie bottom of pan or slow cooker.then some broken up corned beef,then layer of onion,repeat the process till you have used up the ingredients.then some water,dont cover it with water,about a quarter way up. salt it and pepper. like i said you can put square sausage in it aswell mate. cook it for ages till itsall broken down and thick.

The wife makes it with beef stock (oxo) instead of water. Serve with a few oatcakes and some pickled beetroot! Lovely! :D

oh right thats diffrent.ill get the recipe of my maw and post it up. think she is back today or tomorrow from holiday.ffs dont put stovies in a pillow case lol
