text talk

Recommended Posts

I suppose it is evolution, we all once talked like Shakespear after all.

BUT......i dont think you can really call it evolving. Imo we are going back to neanderthol times with no principles, morals and everyone just thinking about themselves, me, me, me, i want, i want, i want.

Not about the correct way to do things, what is good and proper and decent, because that may entail much hassle or work.

what about freedom of speech..you should be able to talk however you want , i have a mate who is bared for text talking but he isnt a very good speller so its harder for him to write correctly...i dont use text talk 95% of the time but occassionally the od quick reply is easy if its text talk

Surely the more your mate tries to type properly then the better his spelling will be,if not then there is spell checker!

It's just used by lazy b*****ds :feck: ,and I don't use it while texting, not that I know how mind. The english language is a beautiful thing when used properly, did anyone see the programme about Stephen Fry last night, the bloke is a genius,as well as fecking funny. :notworthy:

As Moll said, its hardly evolution....take a look at the local scum, hanging out on the street corner, and listen to them speak, then tell me text talk is right. Its all the part and parcel of the complete and utter dumbing down of the younger generation, some of them qualify for the title of "missing link"

at the end of the day,if you see a post which has text talk ignore it plain and simple really, and to be honest my mate is dislesic(cant spell for sugar) and he is now feeling a bit awkward at leaveing post, and another thing heard of freedom of speech,if you see text talk just ignore it plain and fecking simple.....................its not always because they cant be bothered to type take my friend for example he spells words as he says them does that make him scum ect ect?

Like most of the other things in this so called " trendy " society, text talk is complete bollocks used by people with very little pride in themself or the english language and culture we have been brought up in......if someone hasnt got the time to write mate instead of m.8 then they havent got time to be on the internet full stop !...either that or they just enjoy acting like a prick and think it makes them just a little younger or trendier if they speak like a retard....no pride!

Markieboi, get your mate posting. There is no shame in being dyslexic, or not being a great speller, and no one will say anything to your mate if his spelling isnt great, because no one would be bothered, because your mate would be trying his best, and he will be positively encouraged mate, i will guarantee you that. :victory:

The point being, text talk, on any other device than a mobile phone, is idleness, and the excuse that people use it who are poor spellars etc, doesnt hold water, if they are willing to learn text talk, why not learn english? This excuse is an insult to genuine dyslexics.

The english language is being diluted, and replaced enough with foreign language, and bastardisation of the two, without english speaking people actively encouraging it. English is the foremost spoken language in the world...be proud of it.

Freedom of speech, is alive and well on here, but please make sure the majority of us can read it, and respond to it, its not a lot to ask buddy , is it?
