What X Makes A Good Lamper.

about 20 years back a pal of mine had a collie x it was 1st class. my son will be looking for a pup in the next couple months he was thinking of a hancock dog, what do you guys think.

dont really matter what the cross is as long the size is suited to what your'e gonna do with it and the size of fields you'll run it in. most important is how you bring the dog on. needs a lot of time and knowledge but there's plenty of good info available on here

Yeah I've heard a few people have hancocks, lovely lookin dogs I think and they've got the brains. The blue merles re the nicest

 

Some blue merles are bonnie...don't make the slightest bit of difference on the lamp though... :thumbs:

The answer to your origional question is simple.. :thumbs: ..any X that will catch your chosen quarry and do what you have trained it to do will be the best X and they is many many X's that will do just that,, :yes:

as long as its got good stamina +drive and good strike 23-25in, i would say thats what you need in lamping dog. Regards what x, prob a pup from good proven parents lurcher to lurcher, still havnt found one yet lol
