Retired The Old One.

Recommended Posts

Well the time has finally come to change my hob, I took the old hob in from and old couple in June 2008, who procured him and a skinny jill for free for their grandson to play with when he came to stay, the grandson wanted a rabbit, but rabbits cost a few quid, and the ferrets were given to them by a friend, who most likey gave them the ferrets because they bit like ferral cats, probably because they were never handled as kits. This I found out when I put my hand in to get them out, even I gave up and went home for a glove, the one I use to open my log burner with was the hand armour of choice. They were both quite thin and manky, caked in thier own shit and piss, the cage had a scat corner nearly as high as the roof of the cage, which was around two feet high. I asked at the time why they had not cleaned the cage out, all they said was that they didn't want to get bitten, their not f****n Tigers I said. I wasn't really on the market for any animals at the time due to lack of cage space, but after seeing these animals living in such squaller, I went against my better judgement and took them home intending to tame them a little, and push them onto someone else, but you know what its like when you put a lot of effort into animals, yep! you guessed it, I've still got them. After good lathering of fairy liquid and a quick run under the tap they came out with fur as soft as your face  but the hands that do dishes got chewed to bits  The jill is a little grey these days, but still loves a good day out, I don't put her into massive warrens, but she still packs a punch for her skinny frame. So as long as she still shakes her self off before entering a warren, and looks like she still enjoys it, then let her crack on. The hob is a different story, I tried him out with the jill in 2008 for a while with the intention of working them as a pair, but he just didn't make the grade as a bolter, I had better animals already, so he became surplus to requirements. That was until he re-emloyed himself as a top end shagger, he could shag the fluff out of any number of jills in season and leave them smoking on their backs in the woodchips. So I had him snipped, hobs his name, professional shagger is his game, or was, in his prime he would shag all of my jills and my associates with room for a bit on the side, but now, the jills are in uproar, they need a large portion, but they're not getting it due to my hob is getting on a bit, I don't know his exact age because I when I took him in, the folk I took him from had no idea of his age, think they said he had been with them for a year, and I've had him five years. So I now need a new shagger to replace the old one, who will now do the bits on the side only, while his replacement will shag the fluff out of the discontent jills, and restore harmony to my ferret shed.

The new fluff puffer, complete with new bionic modified pump set, note that bionic legs are to fast for the camera to film

I also have a nice quick two year old jill that I wouldn't mind a couple of kits from to replace any casualties of age, or accident, so I've put the hob to her before I had him snipped, this will cover all my bases, and pass on some new blood to my clan in the process. The hob I've just bought cost me a fiver from an old boy thats worked this ferret bloodline with his brother for the last fifty years, they all look like decent animals. So the future looks quite rosey in my ferret shed. Roll on the Winter! :D
