moxy 617 Posted June 27, 2013 Report Share Posted June 27, 2013 If the plug is not loose it sounds like the hard rubber flanged connector that joins the carb to the block. These tend to hairline split on most makes of quads. I have had it happen twice to my Kodiak. When cold it splutters and farts but once up to temp and the rubber warms up it seals the crack. IF.... It is that joint. Be prepared to put your hand in your pocket. They are a non stock item and will set you back around a ton and half. For the Kodiak. Cheaper for Hondas.
