too many variables.....some folks go lamping for an hour or so and have only half a dozen runs others go all night and catch a hundred rabbits most are somewhere inbetween....early season and mild nig

I always feed a few hours before lamping. Feed at 5pm and leave for lamping at 10pm is the norm.   I feed at night (10pm ish) so if I'm going lamping they haven't eaten for 24 hours.   I always th

my dogs don't get fook all ,.......a mars bar in my pocket is an empty wrapper.........

I always think I wouldn't fancy going for a big training session having not eaten for 24 hours so I give them a half sized meal with plenty of time to digest it.

 

Sometimes biscuits, sometimes meat with pasta or brown bread. Then a normal size meal when we get home.

 

Will be interesting to see what others do.

dont do alot of lamping but noticed when i gave them a bite to eat never ran as good so nothing at all

Out of interest how long have they not eaten for when you lamp them? That morning or the night before?

ive seen one or two dogs collapse on nights out and start fitting and they have all been run on right empty stomachs.

a we mars bar work wonders

true mate. imo you shouldnt need to carry a marsbar with you. seen dogs drop before double figures have been caught,

 

mars bars are for me lol but sometimes will give the dog one tried feeding the dog a light meal a good few hours before never ran the same so seems to work for me :thumbs:
