TROY_BOY 62
people pay £1000 for a pedigree pet why not similar price for an athlete who is being challeged mentally and physically tested to the limit giving 100% each and every time he runs!! also this is what you love doing surely you can't put a price on that ped pet you have a chance of a return if you choose.. a lurcher at that money an it jacks is money down the drain i know what your saying mate but surely you have to take the chance on the better breeding and pay a bit more in the hope its a good 1 than getting a cheap 1 that must have more chance of jacking!! you could by a lot of graded greyhound pups and youd never win the derby no matter what two top open racers you have chance Quote Link to post

desertbred 5,490
No one forces anyone to buy a pup or dog if you like the lines the confirmation or even the colour of the dog buy it or not its your choice. You buy for a few reasons one the possibility the dog will do well in the area of sport its been bought for and if it satisfies you then its worth to you at least what you have paid for it. If its to make a name in lights for you and the dog, then again pay your money what ever the price and take your chance. If things were certain then the good pups that will be top grade would never be sold on , but the fact is that good dogs do get sold some as pups some older but the price is dictated by the market some go for thousands some go for a gift . Be happy with what you get if not move on and keep looking one mans rubbish is another mans wealth as the saying goes. Edited June 27, 2013 by desertbred 1 Quote Link to post
inan 841
not much as there no good for lamping Another noddy whos never seen a good dog ... seen many a coursing dog run on he lamp and never seen a good one yet,and my oppinion of a good lamping dog is a bit differant then most At first I thought you were trolling, but if you sincerely beiieve this you need to get out with some different people and their dogs. Why do you think a class coursing dog cannot also be a good lamping animal? In answer to Socks original thread, I'd say from £500 upwards. Edited June 27, 2013 by inan 2 Quote Link to post
