Hgv Driver's

Recommended Posts

as i still hold a hgv licence im glad im.not on.road now days as i hate it, every trucker will tell you lots of storys bout cars just stopping for no reason.in.middle lane geez it aint easy most drive with skill and awareness but in.my time on the road i have seen trucks far far too close and what we have now is more from abroad driving how roads and they are a danger. as for cb radio lol it dosnt seem right plus i was lucky that british steel gave us handsfree setup.

I think Millet is talking about the carnage they can cause rather than the condition of the HGV's nowadays. But to be honest i'd rather drive on the roads full of HGV's than drive with these pricks in

I don't envy owner drivers at all, that is one hard game......the rates have been screwed down to the bone and the expenses have just got bigger and bigger. Then they have those planks from VOSA alw

Wait till Tarquin reads that last statement..... His head will physically explode... Lol

Cause they can , and why do you say there death traps

There is a lot of country road's that i travel regular and so do the hgv's and i have lost count of the amount of time's i have been forced to pull of the road with these thing's tear arsing toward's me.. with them making no attempt to slow down..and on the motorway slip road's they don't wait for a gap they just force they way in regardless of who has to slam there anchor's on behind them..aswell as went they want to overtake they just pull over with no regard's to who has to slam there anchor's on yet again..

Regardless of that they should get point's like we do for using our mobile phone's.. :tongue2:

It used to proper wind me up driving to Cambridge from Peterborough every day for work, every time you got any speed (which is rare on that fecking road) some b*****d in a lorry cuts you up  then drives 0.5mph faster than what he wants to get in front of. The only thing I know about HGV drivers overall though is they love dogging and find murdering prostitutes quite moreish.

Personally I wish more stuff could be shifted around with canals, I would have no problem with more canal systems being built for anything that doesn't need to arrive hastily, not going to happen but you can fit an amazing amount of weight on one barge yet they seem very rare considering.

Yep we all love dogging and tarts at truck sites mostly look like they've been murdered in the uk abroad there stunning!!!!

The canal thing is a typical load of rubbish tell me how is gonna get from depots to barges then to shops etc trucks!!!!

Those days are long gone ,Trucks are keeping the country going 99% of everything around you was moved by truck and in this country the guys/gals that run them do it as near second class citizens and in conditions and laws that restrict you at every turn it may look easy sat on your arse all day tramping about pretending to be the snowman but believe me it ain't.

Offing a tart at the end of your shift does make you feel better though ;)

Lorry drivers are only professional when it goes Tits up

Utter rubbish but most of us has front and rear cameras now which makes a massive difference when it comes to the blame game when it does go tits up if your in the clear its bonafide proof as it records speed, location and records front rear and sometimes sides if fitted and SD card is instantly viewable at scene.

But there are some cowboys about as in any job.

It always amazes me how stupid your average car driver is around trucks,,,roundabouts in particular ,, trying to over take not realising the trailor is going to cut a corner,,, and not putting there lights on in rain,, this is a particular bug bare of mine,,, cars are invisible, in a tucks mirrors, when it rains.. That's the trouble with most drivers,, there only concerned with themselves,, they don't look at the bigger picture.

I drove a small lorry for a few years back in my 20,s

But to be honest i'd rather drive on the roads full of HGV's than drive with these pricks in cars who have no confidence on the roads and just get in everyones way. Atleast ye know that behind the wheel in an HGV theres a decent driver.....usually... :icon_redface: ...

Unless its one of them Irish boys with 1000 litre diesel tanks down each side, ain't slept for 4 days, 30 ton of hanging beef and 40 ton of steel on the bed, late for the boat at Stranrarer !! Lol lol......then you had best get the f**k out of the road ! Lol lol

as regards to the sliproad bit, thats why they are there so you can get up to speed and pull in, if you notice when another hgv is in lane 1and is approaching a slip road when theres an hgv wanting onto the motorway they are always watching and as soon as they see an hgv wanting on they'll pull over into the second lane to let him in, where as a lot of dickhead car drivers arent watching there surroundings and are oblivious to the fact the hgv is wanting on, and the reason they just out is the fact they are running at 44 ton gross and would cause more conjestion/accidents if they stopped at the end of the slip road and slowly pulled on, same as when changing lanes,.as a rule you should always be watching 100/200 yds ahand and anticipate whats going on and act accordingly, im an hgv driver and a tipper driver at that and when I put my indicator on im telling you im pulling out, not asking for your permission, we only pull out if we are approaching a slower moving hgv or a dickhead car driver that's f***ing about, but if the car driver was watching 200yds ahead he would realise I was approaching something slower and realise I would be wanting at some point in the near future and act accordingly, as what was said before we all have deadline and have to keep chapping to get it done, to be fair the jobs not worth a shit coz most day your on a hinding to nowt before yer alam gans of a 3.45 am, no offence ment,

The amount of car drivers who hang around in a hgvs blindspot on the motorway amazes me.

They they cut back in right infront of the hgv

The car driver is passing a slip road wherr a hgv is building speed.. the car driver is so ignorant he wont move into lane 2. hgv has to be forecful here... he cant stop can he ?

Then you get the divvy drivers in cars sitting at 50 on motorway.. the trucks gotta overtake... the car driver is panicking 'bloody manian wagon drivers'

On an A road... pricks in there bmw and mercs... impatient. Dangerously overtaking the 40mph truck.... Give him a break 40mph is his limit.. would you risk license for your job?

Yes.. there is drivers of ALL class of vehicle that are a nuisance and dangerous...

Then you get mr. Tw@t who swings his ford galaxy into his driveway as if he has a mile long trailer attached... oh and whats the poxy reverse sensors on yiu poxy nissan micra
