anybody used a lure machine to keep and increase fitness of your birds, ive been looking in to it and like the idea of a few lure flights to increase fitness, im thinking something like this

what just lure machine work or the actual drill/reel combo

pity he wont take a hood the kite is deadly for fitness. i use a lure on an old electric scooter motor. cut off handle bars flip upside down and strip back tyre off and fill will fishing line only pro

that would do the trick, also if you get yourself a pocket parafoil kite the cheap ones off ebay 4 quid single line ones i use a piece off string with a peg on to hold half doc about 10ft below the kite. i was able to get my fhh superfit and was able to just go straight up and grab it by then. you can tie the kite off on a brick and you will need to hood your hawk or you wont get it 2ft in the sky.

no chance of that, my hawk is a b*****d with the hood, he was fine with it until we coped his beak for the first time with it on then after that he wont let me anywhere near him with one, even now years later, but ye the handheld lure machine looks spot on

you twat son this thread go me looking at kites now :laugh: startred out looking at the ones mentioned and now its loking like a 80-100 quid outlay :cray: only popped on for a quick look last night, mind the lure is a good idea for my main quarry  we used a mates lurcher lure purpose built for job last year , some half tidy results, also when used out of hood with lure in distance gets bird very fit flying into wind, mate incread speed of lure as bird started to reach it, used full carcass with good reward for effort, helped improve trade offs as well :victory: he knows he wont be robbed for his efforts

now am looking at kites thanks to youse lol anyone got any tips? I can see this season having very little focus, bird will end up jack of all trades master of none :icon_redface:
