My 97Ks Sfs Tuned

Heres a pic of my very first springer it started its life out brand new which i bought from solware tamworth for £375 i bought it as a hw97kt stainless model first i sent it off to tony wall at sandwell fieldsports for a stage 1 tune 4 weeks later i picked it up it was firing cocking accuracy was great but still didnt feel good to me. I knew straight away it was the plastic thumbhole stock so i swapped it on here with goz1960 for a hw77 stock straight away accuracy was improved at least 30% it felt much better. Next step was a sling so i opted for the 13.5mm bisley swivels. I fitted them and ordered a custom leather sling off a chap off the bay come to £21 posted the rifle has i forgot to mention a 4-16x50ir mtc viper with sidewheel i just love these scopes. Now theres one thing missing and its on order. An ajustable butt pad then this rifle will be 100 percent perfect. Cheers for reading atb rob

Very nice mate! Personally i prefer the look of a wooden stock as well, and that sling is very nice! bet she shoots like a dream now!

Very nice setup, the stainless looks great in a timber stock and the custom sling finishes it off.

Very nice I've got a 97kt stage2 by sfs awesome I have a very similar sling I like the wood and stainless look !!!! Very good looking rifle

i prefer the wood thumbhole stock best, follow by the wood sporter 97 stock then lastly the synthetic.

 

if my wood sporter had adj. buttpad i might like that better..

Just out of interest what do you think was causing the -30% accuracy with the synthetic stock, I would of thought the thumbhole and adjustable butt plate would have been more accurate ?

The synthetic doesnt have adjustable butt as standard..

And some people get on better with a sporter stock rather than a thumbhole.. im guessing porkybella fits that group of people.

Im quite the opposite- i prefer a thumbhole

 

Each to their own i suppose.. whichever is most comfortable for the individual will be the one they shoot best
