some of our bitches with bull blood in the mix all baying bitches worth the weight in gold

Snagbrac..... more like 21 years since Tip landed - 1992. You would have some craic working out the breeding COI and percentage of Sealyham (or not) in this line to date based on this period of time.

This is a pic of dog at 6 months . I was recently told by a mate that these dogs have been mentioned in a new book so who knows, maybe porkies alright but the man did seem genuine, and actually he d

Any of these white cork dogs ever bread with blacks or chocs?

Blacks/ Chocs..... Same thing really. Most white dog men would not go out of their way to go down that route. Just simply not their thing. Not to say some men are not as particular as others about their breeding and have dropped some good red fell/bull x into "their" white dogs and then bred back to white again. Plenty of related white dogs of good standard down this way as to not force most to go outside the white family.

Wedgey, I under what you are saying. The white dogs were always in demand but kept in a tight circles and for the most part "never" sold. If men do start to sell them after being gifted dogs then doors closed fast, no matter who it is. Including selling pups bred off them. That's just the things have always been done down here. No matter how hard up things are..... The dogs are not sold. Keeping work at the forefront is the priority. I have seen men with good names with terriers quickly being ruined when money comes in to dogs? Maybe it is because we have a hell of lot of foot packs around Cork that the Terrierman down here also use the same concept the hound men do? Open breeding amongst lads and if a stud is used the pick of the litter is offered up to the studs owner. Not a shilling changes hands. If pups are kindly inoculated then payment should be given at cost. Obviously there can be misgivings between certain men and certain breeding will never happen. Such is life. The fastest route to such misgivings is the sneaky sale. It always catches up on people. I much prefer to live amongst such men. Well bred pups/ dogs are regularly offered around free gratis which keeps the line going strong...... bull X is in the cork stuff..... Most a while back as said before. Obviously the influence shows more in some than others..... Similar to the appearance of Sealyham in some.

alright corkman, what about outsiders? did yous ever sell any obviously some liters were bigger than others, what happened to surplus?

Any surplus are given away..... Some go around the country and further afield.

Some go to genuine younger lads. We all needed to start somewhere!

Simple concept. Just give them away to genuine lads! If they end up with the better pup in the litter then getting the breeding back is never a issue if needs be......

Maybe others should try such a simple idea? ;-)
