AirgunGuy 362
You may get less recoil, smoother cocking and better accuracy at farther ranges but as said...if it ain't broke ;-) What's your max comfortable hunting range? If it's accurate at that then why do anything to it at all? You could spend 100+ quid for very little difference. Would it be worth it ? :-) 1 Quote Link to post
AR177 588
depends on how good it is now mate and what kind of tune you have done to it. Basically it should; Make it more consistent (although yours seems pritty good if pellet on pellet) Have a smoother cocking action Feel less recoil Reduce some noise Sort any trigger issues out making it crisp Depending on how good/bad yours is in those areas at the minute will determine how well a tune will affect it & getting it tuned by someone who knows what they are doing will help 2 Quote Link to post

crazycraddog 1
Thanks lads . Noise is an issue it is quite loud and it'd be nice to reduce the recoils. Hitting out to 45 yards spot on. what sort of money would i be looking at? Quote Link to post
AR177 588
Depends on who does it and whats done but about... Thick end of £100 Some more.. Some less Edited June 25, 2013 by AR177 Quote Link to post
pianoman 3,587
Hi there mate. If your rifle is producing pellet on pellet accuracy, how do you think you can improve that? Accuracy is not an issue here really is it. What do you mean exactly when you say it's noisy? Might just need a lube and a bit of grease? You know, a bit of a service and a little TLC. As to cost, the best person to answer that is the guy you approach to do the work. Depends what you want doing. But in all honesty, I don't think a tune is your answer here. It might even work against you and upset your TX200's accuracy with it's current pellet. 2 Quote Link to post

sparkycrew 22
when you say loud is it when your firing it or is it the muzzle report when someone else fires it,my prosport has quiet a thud, but one meter infront of the barrel and its pcp quiet nick Quote Link to post
crazycraddog 1
Hi Nick it when I fire it,it got a thud like your pro sport. Quote Link to post
thursodog 353
Thanks lads . Noise is an issue it is quite loud and it'd be nice to reduce the recoils. Hitting out to 45 yards spot on. what sort of money would i be looking at? 45 yards spot on! Buy some pellets, ear plugs a load of beer and a curry and be glad you didn't get it tuned. Saying that i tune my guns and no sooner do i finish with them i come up with new plans based on what I've gleaned off of here and what i can find on tuning. For example i have 2 - 97ks and they are polished with SFS and Vmach stuff, tuned triggers and they are really deadly accurate. But i know if I bite the bullet and drill 4 holes into the compression tubes, thread them, screw in delrin with thread lock and produce inner outer buttons as well as fixing the spring guide to the back blocks I'll be shooting super super slick 97s. Then again if you have enough money buy the beers and curry and get SFS to tune your baby for you. Sorry for being of no help. I hope you have a brilliant time with your TX though pal, and good luck with whatever you do with it. Chris. P.S If yo do get it tuned lets us know how you get on with it cheers! Quote Link to post
AR177 588
ahh i've just taken to messing around with the internals myself.. much more fun :thumbs & whats the worst that can happen?? Quote Link to post
sparkycrew 22
if its as accurate as you say i would leave it alone, the thud you hear is the spring unloading, having your cheek on the stock amplifies the noise through nasal cavities to your ears, for me the noise and slight recoil give my prosport its character,i shot a couple of expensive pcp's the other night and although they were nice, its a real non event when pulling the trigger, also one pcp shot badly at 40m,prosport hit the hft rabbit more times at 40 metres, how smug do i feel nick 1 Quote Link to post
