Shaped Or Not?

Recommended Posts

On the topic of shaped nets....Do you guys decrease a mesh on the outermost loop or alternatively the second last/second in? Does it matter if two meshes are knitted together on the net edge or just on the second loop inside the net? Hope that makes sense...

Pick up the last 2 hoops in the row when decreasing

Don't know if any of you lads do this , colour code you nets ie 3ft are yellow 3ft 6 orange 4ft blue ect that way your not routing through your net bag looking for a suitable net

12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20,20,20,20,20,19,18,17,16,15,14,13,12 on a 2. 1/4 board gives me a nice wide, shaped 4ft net, get around ten out of a spool.

I have been making mine 4ft shaped, for personal use...

We took on two new permissions last season big sandy burrows raked out there like fox earth's need a nice big four foot net to cover the burrows . Had a few escape the smaller nets they just weren't balling them up

Ive made my last few nets 10 12 14 16 18 4ft. Was going out to 20 meshes but for me I think 18 is plenty.

That's the pattern I am knitting at the moment, although I haven't had the chance to put them to use yet.
