I'd stick with what will suit what YOU are going to do. There are some cracking dogs on here, who do a hell of a lot in the field. . . . . but that doesn't mean they would be right for your bitch.

Use the bryn dog bear in mind he will only pass on hhalf the genes so put to a racey bitch with lots of sighthound and the pups will be nowhere near tank like.

Don......lurcher x collie

Don throws a nice type, they don't lack a bit of pace either and they're durable.

I've just messaged Fuji for a chat.

What bitches has Don been over mate and how have they turned out?

He's been to 2 bitches as far as I'm aware though Andy will fill you in, the 2 are both lurcher x lurcher. The young bitch I've got here is coming along nicely, runs well on any ground, runs real well on rough ground though. She loves to hunt and is turning into a cracking mooching partner.

Don't think you would go far wrong with bryn or don as a stud or there is also reggie who is a son of the don dog he seems to be a usefull animal but i don't think he is very old , i have a half whippet quarter grey quarter bull that is coming up to a year old for rabbits this season as i also have golf course permision but i have a nasty feeling he will spend alot of time injured because he can't go slow to much running dog not always a good thing imo

Maybe my golf courses differ to alot of people's.

A slow dog would not stand a chance. On the straights they fly! I really like a fast dog.

If you ever up this way give me a shout i'll take you out for a night , had 1stx bull greys that could catch them but they had to follow them into cover the fairways were to fast going so i know what your saying about more running dog thats why i'm going to try the wee speed machine this season

Yeh maybe the lads running the heavier dogs are catching them in the thick or around the trees. I like seeing my bitch overtake them on the fairway and scoop them up from the side.

Where is your way mate? And what's the speed machine?

Fife in scotland , the whippet x bull grey i've got is a speed machine compaired to my usual choice of lurcher but with having permision for golf course and getting back into ferreting thought he would be worth a try

Heard good things about whippet/bull/grey mate. I can plan a trip up when the season starts. I've got a few invites up north so could make a weekend or 3 days of it.
