BazB 37
hi ive recently bought a 100 yard quick set long net I got it set out Friday night about midnight, everything went smoothly, it was a golf course permission. I caught 4 in it and had a strange result. one of the struggling rabbits had tore the fur off them on its leg. and another two had eyes bulging out there heads. is this normal when long netting? Mr Wilkes 3,091
Baz are you sure they didnt have mixey ? i have had rabbits hit the net and shave fur off and even had the mesh marks on the meat when skinned (bruising), but never bulging eyes ... Quote Link to post
BazB 37
no marks of mixy on those two rabbits, but they where well stuck into the net and took a bit of getting out Quote Link to post
PB1959 0
if the rabbbit trys to push its way through the net, pressure put on the net by the rabbit could push the eye nearly out the socket, this could show the rabbit was in the net to long. Guest norseman
can early signs of mixy not swell the eyes though? Quote Link to post
