BOLIO1 1,078
I've been involved in physical culture all my life and have my own opinions, but I think the most important maxim regarding diet is to eat a proper balanced diet of wholefoods...ignore suppliments and all the hype that surrounds their use and enriches the bank accounts of those selling them. There are no magic potions.....illegal steroids may provide early boosts but at the cost of long term health. I remember listening to a steroid pusher in the changing room of a great gym in Belfast years ago advising a young lad what dosage of a particular drug he should be taking and he couldn't even pronounce the name of it correctly....ASK YOUR DOCTOR...you wont like the answer. And for general strength you cant beat heavy compound ( multy joint ) excercises like deadlifts, squats bench press, overhead press, chins and parallel bar dips. Just my humble opinion.
paulsmithy83 567
Sounds like your doing Insanity.. High protein, & Veg and for carbs try and substitute with butternut squash or sweet potatoes try and eat every 3 hours stay off the white carbs ie potato, white rice, white bread in fact just stay off bread all together stay off sugar or any fizzy drinks, just drink plenty of water one day a week it is a good idea to have a cheat day where you can eat what you fancy As long as your eating the right types of foods you will see good gains and a change in physique Good luck, ive done the full insanity course and it was a killer That's the one mate its brilliant Right cheers mate very helpful ill stay on tack once I commit to submit it gets done haha it's brutal lol HowZ did you do mate did you get good results ?? Thanks again atb JD For stayin lean and trim up give intermit fastin a go the hole eat every 3 hrs is scientificly proven to be pish. This mean you only eat for 8 hrs a day and 16 hrs fasted. All pro and any serious athlete looking to cut will do so. The myth of anabolic window was made by protein shake companys . Need to find your maintance calorie load (this your cals were you dont gain wate and you dont drop it. everyone is different then reduce maintanancw by 500cals this is a gud cut calorie load for your body. Want to drop fat not muscle n fat so only drop by 500 n get steady wate loss still take in fats but fats from like fish-nuts and so on. These fats actally help you burn your fat stores and aid joints .Cut down the carbs these easly turn to fat if not used and will make you store more water wate , increase protein, drink way more water as then if takin in to much protein the body will flush it via your piss rather then turn to fat. Also the body will reduce water level as its getting a constant supply. As said diet shud be protein- chicken/fish/turkey/egg whites carbs shud be stuff like- vegetables sweet potato and so on, maybe small bits of brown rice Fats shud be from- nuts/fish Your macros of cals to cut should be around 50% protein 30% carbs 20% helfy fats With about 8 litres of water a day Need anymore help drop me pm dont no it all but no me fare share Have you tried the warrior diet mate ?Nah I aint Mate I never needed to always been gud at stripin fat Im at bout 7.5- 8% bf at mo 190lbs so never needed it. I think from wat I heard it envolve intermit fasting.

Just my humble opinion. It never ceases to amaze me the amount of people in gyms trying to beef up doing muscle specific exercises either on machines or free weight......targetting the smallest muscle groups with isolations......then when you ask how long they,ve been training they say " well im into my third month now " .....absolutely drives me mad !!......usually doing 21,s for biceps as its a nice showy muscle you can almost read their thought process ! Id have every lifter for their first 2 years of lifting doing heavy core exercises only !

WILF 46,817
It amazes me that folk don't look into food more.......now don't get me wrong, I love my grub......French, Italian, Chinese, a nice stew or roast meat......love butter etc I have never been a sweety eater other than plenty of sugar in my tea but honestly, do some research about the shit you are putting in your body when you buy something in a packet from a supermarket !!!! Fizzy drinks are loaded with corn syrup, a sugar yes but of a type that is just pretty much all bad......it stops your body dealing with fat as it normally would I believe The shear amount of foods that this product is used in has to be seen to be believed as the US government subsidises farmers to grow corn since the 50s and they had to find other uses for it Good plain food from a decent green grocer, meat from the butcher, free range chicken, rabbit ......stuff we would have eaten 60 years ago will go a long way to making most folk feel better Fresh fish, you can eat all the good French, Italian or Chinese, Japanese food you want as long as you use decent fresh produce and stay active enough to burn it off Swerve the supermarket and go to local producers, it will go a very long way to getting most people on a road to better health.......JMHO Obviously for specialist training you won't go far wrong listening to one or two lads on here and their diet advice

Not really no.......as the old saying says " technique is everything and without it you have nothing " Another theory i like is.......... its like a car engine what you gain in torque you lose in bhp......look for the correct balance of both for maximum performance.
