TOMO 26,222
In my opinion setting the net is far more important than the dimensions of a net,,or the material it's made from,,,, of course provided there's enough room for an adult rabbit to fit in it.... In my bag I have two old nets that are only 16 meshes longand about 14 at there widest,,,made from a 2 inch mesh board,,, making them a shade over 2 foot 6,,,and they both catch rabbits... Now don't get me wrong ,, I don't think you can beat a good 4 footer,,,,but setting them is the important bit 1 Quote Link to post

foresterj 1,096
In agreement with Tomo, I would add though that you know your land and what the setts etc are like, that should tell you more than we can, if you're with me. 1 Quote Link to post
stinkers 102
When i started my first few nets, they ended up smaller than i thought they were. Some are just a bit too small to hold an adult rabbit properly and they can slip the net. But i learnt from my mistake. I start at 10,10,12,12,13,13,14,15,15,15,15,15,15,15,14,13,13,12,12,10,10,..................gives plenty of room Quote Link to post
