pianoman 3,587
Hi Adam. Well the lads here have said all I can say but....PLEASE..Don't do it again. Sporting guns are beautiful things of finely figured Walnut and Beechwood and blued steel and look wonderful. Cammoing an air rifle.. for rabbits? Come on. Really? If guys feel they must do this, why not make a rifle "Ghilly suit" as snipers do? You simply buy some scrim-net scarf to wrap around the non-working parts and over the scope and stick bits of old cammo cloth, burlap and natural vegetation in it. Looks much better, breaks up straight-line outlines and keeps the rifle mint and concealed underneath. You've done a marvelous job in restoring your air wolf back to where she was before mate. Well done Adam. Simon 4 Quote Link to post

pianoman 3,587
Ermm...No I don't Mike. Not quite there here. Sorry pal. But this Mole Cloak needs a bit more thinking and a bit of work. You are not taking account of Shift. If the breezes gather this will move un-naturally against the sway of the surrounding scrub. Rabbits and other quarry can spot that much that there's a human about. Also possibly flap with a bit of rustle. So that brings Sound into the problem. It can also slip over your scope, over your muzzle. Problems. Sorry pal but military rules say external rifle cammo must conceal without movement or make a sound. And they are good rules for air rifle hunting But on a positive note. It's a good base net you have for making a Ghilly cover. Simon Edit to add. Try cutting it and binding it together like a closer-fitting sock to your rifle Mike and add in old cuts of cammo cloth and burlap, bits of sacking and other natural shade materials and you'll have a beauty of a Ghilly cover with netting this good! AR177 588
Having issues with the buddy bottle at the minute.. the primer is working really well but the spray I don't think is a good enough quality for the task or is too thin?? literally as soon as I do one pass its running down the bottle... im doing it a decent arms length away so im not too close.. Anyone any tips on the spraying process? mainly to prevent runs and excessive buildup and get a nice even coat - im only giving very light coats, long sweeps starting the spray above the bottle and finishing past the end of the bottle a good distance away and moving round whilst spraying to avoid overspraying one spot.. Project temporarily on hold until can get a better spray ATB Adam Edited June 21, 2013 by AR177 Quote Link to post
