Ideation 8,216
i dont know the guy.... and im not quoting anybody elses words... from what i can gather.... it would be hard to have your dogs worked satisfactory...when you have many litters... if you mate a bitch...how long is she out if action for?... theres lads get stick on here for breeding a bitch...once the 'how many hard seasons has she done' ....'has she proved herself'....questions start.... they all get shiit for it i see on the whippet archives...sooty sam...lord of the knight...strike while the irons hot... werent bred by mike?... dont get me wrong.... im not saying his dogs are shiit...i couldnt possibly know.... im making the point that his dogs will be on par with anybody who has a working whippet.... too many people hung up on names.... Have you actually been out with any of his dogs? Or many dogs from him? Just out of interest? And do you actually know how many litters he breeds mate? Or is it all total theory? Being honest, his dogs and the dogs that carry his blood have a very definate physical stamp, which I like. They seem a lot tougher made than a lot of other 'working whippets' I have seen about the place. When you say that his dogs 'will be on par with anybody who has a working whippet'. . . . . is that based upon comparing dogs from different lines, people etc in the field? Or because you have one that you rate that's not from Mike? Out of interest? I don't think that this is a case of people being hung up on names. It's not like he is on here, or in the CMW, or has his own forum etc. I've yet to meet someone who had a pup out of him, direct, that was not pleased with the dogs drive, stamina, tenacity, nose etc in the field. His dogs speak for themselves. Happy Hunting 6 Quote Link to post

Happy Hunting I 100% agree with what you have said mike is a gentleman one of the nicest men you will ever meet and for some reason people talk bad about him and his dogs and 90% of people have never met the man or seen any of the dog he has bred work I for 1 after meeting the man and seeing numerous dogs he has bred work would not buy from anyone else 1 Quote Link to post

I would go for a whippet like Joes, its big a strong un . To me it looks like a Grew, its impressive.. Heard a few lads say Darren Gallager has a good whippet at Stud.. I have liked the look of Mallys Whippets.. Not seen him post much for a while.. Edited June 19, 2013 by Giro Quote Link to post
