pianoman 3,587
Hi gerron. That looks a great rifle. And complete by the look of it. Does she still shoot? Best wishes. Simon Edit to add. Is the spring in the pull length tube beneath the butt-stock? How does it cock? Edited June 19, 2013 by pianoman Quote Link to post
gerron 13
yes the spring is below the stock, the rifle is complete, it has a break barell action but the is a lever at the breach that has to be pushed forward to lock the breach, if you break the barrel you can pull it half way down and it will click or pull it all the way for full power Quote Link to post
Wildling 520
I love old rifles, and british made rifles especially. Fascinating that it has two power levels, have you tried measuring the different fp levels ? Quote Link to post

gerron 13
its in 177 cal and has never been restored Quote Link to post
kernow shooter 3
that is a lovely rifle you got are you going to bring it back to new condition or keep it old looking Quote Link to post
pianoman 3,587
A collector or valuer might say to keep it as it is. Restoring it to as near to mint condition is to remove the rifle's history in its patina. It shouldn't be allowed to deteriorate any further, mind. Simon 1 Quote Link to post

Simon Very true Simon but sometimes restoring a rifles shooting ability but not its external appearance can help with value. Although this depends on who the valuer is and also on if you can source original or make exact parts for it. Defiantly needs to be looked after though. 1 Quote Link to post
