Matt 160
what does that do different...to a standard hammer Nothing I suppose....... But, what you are looking at is a specially designed tool for a specific job, and an increasingly rare vintage tool as well. What does a Rolls Royce do that a standard car doesn't? Quote Link to post
benji benji 60
theres some very similar probably not that good in pound shop mate carnt go wrong for a quid Quote Link to post
Matt 160
No, I'm not selling it. I've got one; it took me nearly ten years to find it and I'd sell Mrs Rat before I parted with my collection of traps and trapping kit. Quote Link to post

Matt 160
I can quite understand why folks choose to use a cheapie hammer; I use a brickies hammer myself. Well, I wouldn't want to get my nice shiney Brades dirty would I?.......... For those of you interested in old trapping kit, this is a bit of a rarity that doesn't often come up for sale. It should make £40 easily, and I wouldn't be surprised to see it make £60. On a side note, I notice that Jubys and Imbras are now making £30 plus postage on there. I may have a clear out..... Matt 160
Keep promising myself a trapping hammer from fourteen acre any experience of them matt or should I stick with my cheapo version? The one from 14a is a very good little hammer, and well suited to the job. I don't own one, but I have handled and used one and it certainly seems as close as you can get to the real deal. If I needed a trapping hammer, for daily use that would be my choice. It's a quality item. It's all very well watching the pennies, but cheap crap from China just doesn't do it for me, but each to his own. Quote Link to post

Outlaw Pete 2,224
I just find the hoe on that particular one (The one on ebay) a bit narrow. I've got my own one here ~ bought through a mate in Oz. Cost me about a score, as I remember. It has a wider hoe. I've seen the images of the 14 Acre ones and they compare very favourably with my own one. I've privately recommended them before now. I don't think one could easily beat their price by buying a common make from Oz either. Quote Link to post
