mucky paws 495
when the irish I think Gorgers opinion is as valid as any man on this forum as he has been there and done that....unlike a lot of his knockers! so 99% of the country has to sit an let gorger run there dogs down because they hav no interest in going to the fens where did the sire of your bitch come from lurgan was not referring to you Quote Link to post
banner man 587
never knocked across the pond or never knocked john either you have to give john credit for the amount of travelling his does thats pure dedication, kc iv already said iv never hunted in england so i cant comment from personal experance, what im saying is there is plenty of people in ireland that just couldnt or wouldnt bother going to england for what ever reason so does that mean there never know if there dogs is any good??? it be like saying the englise lads wont know if there dogs any good unless they come over to ireland on a regular basis before they can test there dogs??? 2 Quote Link to post
BOLIO1 1,078
I've tried to edit my post twice....I meant "woudn't be valid".....and I dont see Gorger running other peoples dogs down, rather defending his own, which he's entitled to do as he's done the ground work, the miles and gained the experience. Until his critics have done the same, any crabbing falls flat with me. 3 Quote Link to post

BOLIO1 1,078
If our dogs do what we want, where we hunt, then thats all that matters.....but why knock a man who demands a little bit more? Thats all I'm asking. Quote Link to post

I hunted mostly ardee and slemish last year and my dogs killed hares in both places.. So if i went to England tomorrow and my dog got blown away would it annoy me.. No way because Ireland is where i hunt and is where my dog will be killing hares next year Quote Link to post

BOLIO1 1,078
Banter I dont read that as Gorger putting his dog on a pedestal at all. Many of us who had dogs killing hares weekly over here had the same dogs blown away on the fens as long ago as the mid 90's. If you haven't run there you can never know....it's as simple as that.
