What Dogs

Dont you just love all the my dicks bigger than yours ! Out on the land be it England or Ireland is where dogs run not on computers in June. Some people run for the fun and the sport , others run for fame and fortune, the man who feeds the f****r and shovels its shit is the only one the dog needs to satisfy no one else. Trying to belittle some one on a computer says loads about the calibre of the man doing it

My dick is bigger than yours.

if you know that then you have obviously been looking at DB willy :icon_eek: , naughty boy you mr dimmock :icon_redface:

Who really gives a toss except the majority that are more interested in making a name for themselves than enjoying the gallop for what it should be about, testing a dog and enjoying the day regardless

and the all lived happy ever after THE END   THIS WAS BASED ON A TRUE STORY

brendy there probably many adog jacked in Ireland out of sight but you would not be wiser, thats the difference across the pond no hideing places lol

for me the above statement says it all, NO HIDING PLACE ON FENS, and there ain't, you might think you have a god dog until you get down there, it might even take a few trips down, but if there's any weakness it will show eventually, no one can pick every run and the hares some places down there are unreal, some places get that much stick off lads the hares are supernatural, Ive ran a fair few places around the uk Scotland etc however the blank days all come from fens other places there's always a kill or two to be had, to many like to use excuses about killing on smaller land, the obstacles etc giving the hares an advantage, well they only have an advantage if the dogs trailing them, if the dog is up its scut and putting on pressure the same obstacles work against the hare, Id wager a good few of us have had ones that bounce off a fence they thought they was gunna leave dog behind once they under, proper dog will use pressure to force mistake.

In a way its like stepping up from the amateurs and taking off the head guard and going in the ring for real, I cannot and at present do not want to go every week, but given the chance yeah I would course there week in week out, yeah you can enjoy coursing and yeah in my book theres more to coursing than simply the fens , but like any sport you can enjoy it as an amateur who takes it as serious as any professional, nowt wrong with that, but everything has a top end and in this game fens are it, too many in the know say the same, at the end of the day as long as you enjoy what you doing why give a shit what others think lol course your dogs to enjoy em not too impress others :victory:

have you not blanked on them Scottish bits artic . :tongue2: was going to say keep off my land , but on second thaughts ,keep going  keep the rabbits fit for me :D:D:victory:

Brendy are you saying that if you had a dog killing every where in lreland and brought it to england and it got blow to bits you would get rid off???????? The way l look at it am sure there is many a dog that that has came up short in england but it does not make them a bad irish dog. What it does do is tell the owner that if he wants to hunt across the water hes going need to put a little more off this or that to make it across the water. If we are all honest we would all love to run across the water to test are dogs to the max but most.dont because they know deep down what could or prop would happen. Maybe some owners just dont do it because they dont want put there pride and joy in a sitution it cant get out off. Fair play to the men who have and still are doing it.

Icey its all about what you want in a dog there's men over across pond go down eng buy all this top breeding only couple hours of the fen but won't go they say no need to I've plenty game on my door nxt thing they saying in dec can't find anything to run. If you want to do something you just do it only kidding urself reality is most scared go eng incase they have to come home with no dog.

the hunting life rules lads it only counts if your dog kill dec jan thats 8 weeks out of the year, you have to run eng on a regular basis which i presume is once a month in winter plus your dog has to have at least half english breeding to be good, and it has to run for 6 seasons, and you have to show them to load of strangers, now lads onless im missing sumting how many lads in ireland do this??? these are not my words its whats been written on here all the time,

You know its true jim if your honest with urself why speedie invite kc over in dec or jan cause any man wants test his dog knows hares at there best then. Best thing jim you test yours way you feel right I test mine you feed your dogs so if they please you that's all maters I thought forums about opinions I'm giving mine each man does there own. In dog world I always thought its about being honest with urself.

it be also intresting to know if all the good english dogs down the years such as blondie lucky dark destroyer feattle nipper ect came back to run ireland once a month for 6 seasons??? unless its just me but all this sounds a bit crazy, surely if your liveing in england and your dog killing on a regular basis and winning competions then its a good dog, same as your liveing in ireland and dog killing on a regular basis it also a good dog
