bill88 6
hi i have a webly xocet and i think the spring is naked just wondering what type of spring would be best and where to get it ? in in central scotland Chambers,i'd stick to the standard spring mate,i've seen plenty of gun's f****d up by messing with after market springs. www.chambersgunmakers.co.uk Edited August 15, 2007 by bill88 Quote Link to post
kreet 0
are these decent powerd as new ? as im very un impressed with the gun ive shot 2 pigeons whitch i def hit and it didnt drop them so im wondering if its the gun thats the prob as ive been at the rabbits and thought it was my aim that was the problem but i hit targets no probs so think its just the lack of power in the gun or could it be down to pellets ? Big bald beautiful 1,231
yes they where legal limit 11-11.5 ftlbs you can buy a gasram to fit them, same power levels but stoots different, faster lock time. Quote Link to post
kreet 0
would fitting a ram be alot more work than just getting a new spring put in ? where would i get it done and would it cost alot more ? what would the benafits be as i dont know anything about them ? Quote Link to post
maty j 6
the rams reduce recoil and are supose to be less noisy. theoben sell the rams for about 50-60 quid. it will give you the same power as a spring mind. your local gun shop should be able to fit and order one in for you or you couls do it yourself providing you know what your doing as it could easily be taken over the legal limit without you having a fac. wer are you aiming on these pigeons?? or better still hitting them?? kreet 0
was hitting them from bellow not sure where i hit them my aiming aint that great as ive just got the gun and got started got other pellets and the have made a diffrence should kill a duck when the season starts there is a small blemish on the rubber seal thats aroung the hole in the barrel whitch i think could be loosing air possibly as i say im unsure . once a gas ram is fitted doe's it need charged or anything or is it used as a springer would be ? kreet 0
im not sure about any clubs or that havent realy got many mate's all my old mates are into stuff i would rather stay clear of im the only person still into shooting ferreting and dogs as i say just getting back into it im going to check with fife field sports to see what power the gun is and get a new rubber seal and ill look into getting it gas rammed aswell my aiming is getting better iv got targets and am going to work on my aim aswell thanks alot for the advice Quote Link to post
maty j 6
stick at it mate you'll soon get there. way i see it anyway you may aswell miss than wound it so it dies in pain and you cant eat it. at least if you miss it'll be there another day. your local gun shop should have a chrono that you could run the rifle over it. no probs mate, if you were closer you'd be more than welcome to use my chrono and come for a walk if you like but i think scotland is a bit far to travel dont you. good shooting mate maty.
