wirral countryman 2,110
The hen can influence their shape, colour and song mate yeah. This is my take on genetics as well gnipper, but there are many out there that swear the hen bears no influence on colour and I hate having to argue "mengeles law" with older men that swear otherwise and so I've rung each hen and goldie cock with a coloured ring and recorded the progeny with the correct matching colour to see how the statistics bear out, many only keep goldies that are "pea throat" and get rid of the rest,I will be interested on all comments by people with a lot more experience than me,thanks,WM
