West Ham In Trouble

Recommended Posts

Shovel leaner I wasn't trying to be dick to ya mate and I ain't trying to come over all mr claret and blue......just saying that when your team is lacking confidence you have to get them back in the comfort zone......4-4-2, keep it tight and disciplined, try and keep the ball, simple passing......it rebuilds the confidence.

3 at the back (unless they are top of the tree players) is souls destroying for the whole team, especially if the mid is getting by passed........backs get pulled all over the show, forwards are trying to live on scraps.......it really is a terrible system

A man with BFS style of football playing one up front.......tell me the logic?

If its not coming off its mentally destroys players and it ain't coming off at all......your never in possession long enough to do anything ( that's not west ham, that's any team in general)

Honestly mate ( and you may have played a lot of football and I am telling you how to suck eggs ) it's the stuff amature managers do when they have watched too much telly

Wilf i agree with what you are saying . You can see the frustration building up in what i would call a really good pro in Nolan , acting the way he did !

The thing is we havent got a decent striker , cant hit the back of the net . Sam is playing the best game he can to get a result with the team hes got .

Guess what ? I dont give a monkeys for the FA cup or the capital 1 cup , its the premiership we need to stay in ! Right now the Cardiff game is all i care about , if we lose that , i think Sam will go , no matter how much it costs the club , i think his position will be untenable !

Not to be impolite mate but do you go to games ?.......Because that is not an active fans attitude......its a telly fans attitude......telly fans dont really care for winning trophies too much they just want to see their club mixing it with the best ( which of course we all do )........but for fans who make sacrifices thats not enough.....i cant answer for him but my guess would be a chap like Wilf who go,s to games would have no problem playing Leeds and Millwall next year if it meant winning a trophy this year........go ask a Fulham fan,a Stoke fan................all the way down to a Dagenham & Redbridge fan ( active fans ) do they want to stay in their current league or win a trophy.......i guarentee they will say win a trophy........i would give anything to win the Capitol 1 Cup.......anything for that short intense feeling of being a king for a day.......for that feeling of getting in your rivals face.......that rare competetive purity of being the best......even just for a short time........being a fan is not about being sensible and looking at the bank balance thats what owners and chairman do..... and thats why very seldom do fans get on with owners/chairman.

You sussed me out !!! I stopped going to games in the 80s , in the days of john lyle , tony cottie and frankie mcavenie . I took up gamekeeping and dont get to go much anymore , ive been once this season . Is it wrong for me to want to see the hammers do well in the top flight of english football ?

P.s. If you are thinking of going to the Den ,where a helmet.Last time i went , i had a dart in my neck .

Winning cup, medals etc (or at least having a go) is the very heart of football.......it don't matter if you the lowliest team in the amature leagues, getting to a cup final is something special.

Owners & Manages Will Sacrifice Everything & Anything Too Avoid Relegation , Todays Mindset Is Simple Stay In The Premiership At ANY COST !!

That's true mate, very true......that's why I have a lot of respect for Wenger in a lot of ways, he wants his teams to play football regardless

There's a case to say he should have had more ambition with regards to signing or keeping players but you certainly can't knock the football they play and ultimately it's the teams that keep the ball, pass and move, play to feet that are flying high in world football

When you go to games it makes you part of this history , you were there , you shared the moment , your support helped , your part of the clubs DNA , you share the win ,you the club , the players , your all one .

I,v been an every week home and away supporter , and now I,m a telly / occasional supporter , the feelings are as different as night and day .

I agree with that. When we made it to the final of the UEFA cup and the league was coming down to the last day. My rangers mate asked if I had a choice, win the league or the UEFA cup, it was a no brainer for me. I've seen my team win many a league and I probably will again(unlike rangers fans) but to win a European trophy, that's special. I'd give up 10 league titles to see Celtic lift a European trophy. So I suspect the same applys to diddy teams like west ham, if they had a choice between relegation or a domestic trophy.

Just seen that horrible fat c**t get all shirty when someone asked him if he was going to apologise to the fans for the last two results.. He went on about Man City and how they'd done the same to other teams blah, blah, blah, barely a peep about the Forest game.. :hmm:
