mhopton 807
JSB Exacts and AA field in mine I think, work still in progress not given accupells yet or several other top makes. Hello mate I'm thinking about sending my baby off for a stage 2 by tony, have you done the same to yours and if so is it worth the £160 (inc delivery). I'm just looking to take some of the recoil out and to soften the second stage of the trigger. get the kit and I will fit for you mate no bother Quote Link to post

pianoman 3,587
For my HW97K ...H&N FIELD TARGET TROPHY 4.50mm .177. Edit to add: Mine has a Sandwell Field Sports tuning kit and spring set up by Tony Wall and installed by AndyFR1968 ...Fabulous rifle; I love it. if you had to choose between that an the ole 77 which one ? Hi Frank. Sorry I seem to have missed this mate. Fair question and here's a fair answer. Honestly? it's still my beloved HW77. If you think how much I'm raving how good the HW97 is. Imagine how good my HW77 .22 rifle that can match it and beat it for hunting accuracy with knock down power. The HW97 is going to be a competition rifle. It's superbly accurate and light enough for standing shots. But my HW77 is in a different catagory. Best wishes mate. Simon 1 Quote Link to post
roosika 110
can you buy an HW97kt from tony and pay for it to be tuned then sent to you , also can you jump straight to a s2 or do you have to get a s1 first ? Quote Link to post
pianoman 3,587
I think he can do a stage 2 tune straight off from scratch roosika. You can order a rifle from Sandwell Field Sports; to be then tuned ready to be collected by you in person. In practice the law prohibits the gun dealers from supplying air rifles via mail order direct. It has to go from the supplying RFD to another RFD for you to collect from his premises (Who will want a handling fee most like). Yet, I think, and barmy as it sounds, you can send and collect one to and from an RFD via a private courier! Someone perhaps can explain the situation better than I can. silentshot1 206
can you buy an HW97kt from tony and pay for it to be tuned then sent to you , also can you jump straight to a s2 or do you have to get a s1 first ? I spoke to them on Tuesday, along with Steve Pope at V-Mach, as I'm wanting to get another tuned springer for my (hurts to say it) 40th. You can have a stage one or two tune done from them* for a deposit of minimum £140.00 over the phone and the rest paid on collection or indeed just a one off payment. Turn around is 4-6 weeks. *Edited to say 'including gun....' Edited July 10, 2013 by silentshot1 Quote Link to post
roosika 110
thanks , think i would just get it sent to my local gun dealer as im to far away , what scope do people recommend putting on a hw97 tuned or not tuned ? Quote Link to post
pianoman 3,587
Hawke 3-9x40 HD IR is superb. Bushnell Banner 3-9x50 is amazing. A quality 3-9x40 or 50mm will perform superbly well. Quote Link to post
