targa 5
i have the same model i love it my one likes rws superdomes do you no what the k means The "k" stands for karbine as far as I'm aware. ts a German rifle and its stands fot "Kurz" What means "short". For example: there's a HW77k (the short version) en the normal HW77 (there's also a long 77 version). HW97 is always a K, no long versons of it.. 1 Quote Link to post

goz1960 52
JSB Exacts and AA field in mine I think, work still in progress not given accupells yet or several other top makes. Hello mate I'm thinking about sending my baby off for a stage 2 by tony, have you done the same to yours and if so is it worth the £160 (inc delivery). I'm just looking to take some of the recoil out and to soften the second stage of the trigger. Mine has been stage 1 by Tony at it is great, thinking of having stage 2 done not sure yet. Hi mate from what i recall from the phone call i had when i ordered mine. stage one involves a new better quality spring, lubes and hand fettling etc, the stage two involves replacement parts such as piston seals. washer spring guides to match the springs for each individual rifle, i believe something is fitted to the rear of the action to reduce recoil etc trigger stripped polished etc. if your are interested you could phone him and he will tell you all you need to know im not very technical so probably not the best answer and im sure someone more experienced than me will give you a definitive answer but all i know its a pleasure to shoot when i do my bit. targa 5
My 97k loves the JSB Heavy's 10.3 grain, reasonable flat trajectory and it kill's the odd rabbit even at 65 yards Quote Link to post
zini 1,939
My .22 SFS S2 HW97KT is accurate with H & F FTT at 5.53 mm Other pellet brands that i also find good in the .22 is Webley Accupells. My .177 SFS S2 HW97KT is accurate with AA Fields at 4.52 mm and Webley Accupells. As your rifle beds in the barrel may like different pellet brands. Power will change accuracy in a barrel with certain pellets brands. You may find that a lower power likes a softer skirt. I would defo give Falcon AP a try once your rifle is bedded in. A little bird tells me that the SFS S3 will not be long out now. I think its going to be called the FT3. There isn't anything massively different from a S2 apart from 1 part (which is a material change of the fixed spring guide, so don't worry S2 lads). It was a experiment Tony tried which has worked very well and killed the recoil even more . The bloke who as the first trial HW97KT and is testing it sent me this message yesterday on FB "I've just collected my 97 kt from sfs, Tony's had it for 8 weeks. It went in for a stage 2, but tony just said," I've got something special for you." "It's the first stage 3 or ft3 as it'll be known". I had a few shots upstairs, and the difference over how it was before is staggering. I'll be keeping him updated on how it's bedding in, and hopefully it'll be a good un. I'll keep you posted. Cheers for putting me on to Tony's work anyway. Regards, Justin". A lot is happening at SFS at the moment and Tony as some really great ideas that he is thinking up to improve his tunes and springers even more. He's got an idea from testing various things and different barrels in his accuracy and tuning trials that he as emailed and is awaiting a answer from Weihrauch. He wants to put together a couple of really special non standard HW springers, (a HW model favored by Pianoman) and get them out on trial. From what he tells me they are going to be something super special with a very accurate barrel and super tuned internals. Lets just wait and see lads. Si. Quote Link to post
Elliott 436
Can't wait for that one Si Quote Link to post
