Guest joe ox
yes my saliki x killed 14 hares and 3 rabbits, the first time i took him lamping hares, he only missed 2 and that was only to prove a point to a minshaw owner who had challenged me to a match lamping hares(not something im interested in) id rather lamp rabbits and course hares daytime....after i did this the lad didnt want to match me....my saluki x is lamped as much as he is coursed during the season and he kills 35-40 rabbits each time, i go home then not because he,s tired because i dont want to carry anymore Baz could you explain this to me. Your saying your dog killed 14 hares and only missed 2 the first time it had ever been lamping on hares? Quote Link to post
Guest SKINNER
Not taking side's (i keep a collie x) but this vid kind of sums up the saluki's determination and stamina. I didnt see anything special there a greyhound could of straight lined that in 30 secs or less not 1 minute 49 seconds! not on that ground and with the heat and the stamina needed to catch one, you would end up with a dead greyhound. Why wouldnt a greyhound be able to run on that ground? What do you think is on a greyhound track? That chase would have been over in 200 yards with a decent greyhound behind it. Quote Link to post

Guest mush
A heavy saturated saluki x killing hares into double figures on the lamp! has anyone seen this or got a saluki x what kills daytime hares with ease that can go into double figures regulary on the lamp? cant see many of the daytime lads wanting to do it. I give mine the odd run on big uns on the lamp. But to kill 20 isn't what I call fun, on the lamp they dont know where their going half the time once their pushed of their line, and start running into walls Gates est yep you will get some good runs but if you want double figures you not after good runs just a kill quick as you can.
