Stormspiel 17
Bought myself an NS50 last thursday and friday night went out with my brother and mums partner from 9pm-1am. spend the first hour or so getting used to the gun hold and getting a clearer picture on the screen. With 3 of us all going at the same quarry i didn't manage to bag anything and so whilst my brother is in scotland and mums bloke down london for the week i decided to venture out on my own for a few hours. The permissions we've got are either massive open fields, paddocks or a bit of woodland so i decided to have a wander down the paddocks knowing that one has just been re-seeded and the rabbits are going at it like crazy. The light was still too strong for the NS50 to work properly so i put the camera in my pocket and mounted everything else up. no less than 5 minutes in and candidate No.1 pops into view, after cutting the gap to about 30 yards i gave him a lead headache and down he goes .... Not much else about so i had a wander down to my other persission to see if the rats had started taking the bait we're setting and it's all looking promising, Another couple of days and they're having some Wandered back up to the paddocks and set the NS50 up and low and behold there's another bunny digging up the fresh grass. This time i only got it to 35 yards before feeling comfortable with the shot and same result. Bunny No.1 is going to the father-in-law for a curry and Bunny no.2 is most likely gong in a pie for me I know people make the DIY NV setups and all but for me the NS50 is spot on and it's nice to know i've a warranty should it go pop 1 Quote Link to post
