Well i read on Facebook today that Tarquin was turned down for no less than 4 jobs today....i'm sure he wont mind me telling you this as we are all a big hunting family..... One of the jobs was for

lab is trying out for that new reality show.................The Only Way is Fife !   Fake tans and freckles !!

Ruby i think your getting a bit mixed up...i should have made myself clear. My offer was off £100 per week but your bed/breakfast was costing you £100...............hows the job looking now?...

22 yrs old !!! ffs mate the worlds your lobster , the only advise I,d offer is don,t settle for a dead end soul destroying job , keep an eye on the future , further education , a trade , a job with prospects that teaches you skills ,some thing you you have an interest in and like , strive to be happy

failing that ..put the bally on

aye, stick the bally on and you will get all of the above in the nick when you get caught, lol

As sad as it is 90% of the time I'd say Stewie is right, your job pays for your passion and rarely does your passion pay....

You come over as a decent lad on here mate ( surprisingly decent for a virgin, lol), and at 22 you'll fall into something no doubt..

Hopefully you sort something that suits mate, good luck

No mate that wasn't a piss take this time lol.... It's a sad fact that's all.. I worked in a fishing shop when I was 17, it was my passion, I wanted to stay in that industry in someway.. but unfortunately I could never see myself earning money in it... So off into the building trade and more money meant I could pay for the things I liked doing.... Not saying that's the right way, though...but generally the things we love doing don't pay as well..

just to add lol the likes of ali, dan and lab-wannabe.......... :D i have full respect you for the work you lot put in........if im truly honest i dreamed of being a keeper from about 7yrs old lol on a sunday my dad would take me and my brother "up to see the keeper"..........used to f*****g love it as a kid............. all the gun, dog and bird talk you would like and me exploring the sheds like "whats that, what this" every two mins and the keeper (i bet so many on here no of him to lol) was always keen to answer...................what a man.........i dreamed of being him in the woods with the power of keeping the line "FECKING STRAIGHT" "GET THAT FECKING DOG BACK" but my ultimate fantasy was to be able to bollock the gun who dares shoot a bird after the whistle.................... only seen it the once but my god the little man erupted............ :icon_eek: right in front of one of the richest self made millionaires in the country, my full tweed clad hero went for the kill...............and the biggest most self centered pompus stuck up prick on the guns that year was placed firmly in his place...............in front of guns, guests, beaters, flags even the picker ups had caught up while he was still going, he was told in no uncertain terms............... :toast: f*****g brilliant to see a man who didnt give a f**k about money HE sets the safe shooting areas and times......not some prick who is just there as its something to spend his millions on and do what he likes as he "chips in" towards the keepers wages................... :censored: to me a gamekeeper should be earning at least £600 a week and then rent on top............ sorry lads but it makes no sense to me how a shoot can be owned by millionaires, makes shit loads of money, yet is ALL ran by a man who would probably die for them birds, works 7 days, 24hours yet is only on 300 quid.............i no tips add up and you sneak 20 whites in the various pens to make a few quid on shoot days........ :whistling: but to me you are not paying a keeper for his work, your paying for his life...................and then some........... ;)

i was up another keepers yard on sunday afternoon dropping him some hardcore off and ive known him for years......real good lad.............was chatting for 10 mins and he said "not being funny mate, im busy as f**k and gotta go" just as he went to drive off a car pulled in with a beater and his family coming up to see him...........he punched the steering wheel shouting "for fucks sake ive got birds coming next week"....................:laugh: far to much stress for me for nowhere enough money........jmo................ :victory:

taurquin i warned you.........................but i wish you the best of luck mate............just watch out for ginga scots that creep in your room at night and ninja gos that sneak in your pens at night.................... :tongue2::victory:

Haha not far wrong there Stewie, I nearly doubled my weekly wage when I went into the buildings back then ( nearly 20 years ago lol)... I can't complain it's given me a decent standard of life and at 36 I'm off the tools and running a half decent firm.... Is it my dream Job??? Fck no way..... But I've grafted my bollocks off and it's starting to pay off...

Oh i know all about the long hours and stress mate  getting the pens ready for delivery of the birds in my last role was non stop work, i was estate gardener but was drafted in to help the 'keepers. 7am-6pm fencing, electric fencing, putting water pipes in, checking the drinkers worked, making sure there was enough cover in the pens, moving corrugated sheets to provide better cover, cutting loose branches off trees, fixing the gates, taking delivery of food, setting/checking snares....then tea and phone call home for an hour then back out cutting grass, hedges or logs for firewood, or sitting out with the rifle for old Charlie, or getting a few hours kip ready for lamping at 11pm-4am  oh yes i know all about it so i must be nuts to still want to do it :toast:
