air gun ant 1,666
Cheers mate, not being funny but did you tell them it was an air rifle? Did you need to label it as such? Or did you just send it and hope for the best? Cheers ant Quote Link to post
fret78 87
I sent mine through DHL, on the web, it just asked for dimensions and weight so I never told them what it was as you don't need a license for one. Quote Link to post

4sight 31
Royal Mail - Special Delivery - are the only courier who will knowingly transport an air rifle - keep the parcel length to 1metre max. They are the only national courier who will insure the contents. Any other courier will not insure and will not knowingly deliver (unless apparently you have an account). Royal Mail were going to stop delivering air rifles but very sensibly have decided to keep it on their books. 4sight 31
Parcelfarce take air rifles, 48 hour signed for delivery. They have not updated their terms and conditions yet! Not all staff are aware either, some are, some are not! This is the extract from the current restrictions for a normal retail (non account) customer: Arms and Ammunition All firearms including: imitations and antiques; paint-ball or toy guns; taser guns; air rifles, air pistols, components of firearms and all other items similar to, or resembling the foregoing are prohibited. All ammunition (including components thereof) and airgun pellets are also prohibited. The terms and conditions for account customers allows pellets to be carried but once again no air rifles are permitted. To get some clarification as to when the new T&C's came into operation, I have emailed ParcelForce. Edited June 14, 2013 by 4sight Quote Link to post
