Mawders 595
Si, Awesome video! Just watched it all back and it really does raise a few valid points for those that are insure of pellet power at range, how accurate a spring piston rifle can be in the RIGHT hands and just how much pcp's would struggle to match or better a group at that range. Matter of fact, map pin at 50 meters! Does it get any better than that? Well done mate, Phil 1 Quote Link to post
risingfriend 1,042
Class Si at some range. Good to see the chrono readings from start to finish mate and great shot on the board pin Quote Link to post
villaman 9,983
Very good vid again lads. Si did you ever work out the BC for the Falcons ? Quote Link to post
Elliott 436
Brilliant shooting Si, I was hoping you'd upload the video tonight after sending the picture through of that 50m group. The 98 looks great and Tony has clearly done a great job of tuning it. Keep the videos coming they are great. How you doing for rabbits down there, we've got quite a few up here. I'm back out with darrenb47 on the golf course with the HMR on Thursday Edited June 11, 2013 by Elliott Quote Link to post
zini 1,939
Very good vid again lads. Si did you ever work out the BC for the Falcons ? Hi VM, Yes mate after the chrono near and far test that we did the BC of Falcon AP pellets in .177 is 0.0223. Handy for those that use CGP. 1 Quote Link to post
A1WOC 212
Hats off to your accuracy at 50m Si; I’ve been practicing with my HW100 at 50m off a bipod and struggle to achieve the same group as you and your springer. I know my HW100 and pellets are matched, I know my technique is right even down to firing between heart beats. I am very close but fail to match your tight groups. Regards, Steve 1 Quote Link to post
Guest scramble
Good shooting Si, i have one question about the groups, with a PCP most people do 5 shot groups as im sure you used to? now your doing 3 shot groups with your springers. Quote Link to post
zini 1,939
Yes thats right Scramble. Its on Davy's recommendations as I seem to mess the 5th shot up sometimes and thats not the rifles fault that i cant shoot to its accuracy. We now work on the principle of once is luck, twice is a fluke but 3 times is matter of fact. If I was a better shot I would do 5 or 10 shot groups and the rifle would still go under a 5p but im not that good. Quote Link to post
Guest scramble
Cheers Si, i've not shot a springer for a couple of years, doesnt suit me out in the field, but i've still got my first one from almost 30 years ago and i could shoot that thing left handed, right handed, great fun. its the gun my lad is learning to shoot with, when he's mastered it he'll be old enough to buy his own gun and make his own choices . 1 Quote Link to post
bigmac 97kt 13,796
Nice shooting si as always and good groups as well as always when it come,s to target shooting im not that good my group,s are crap at the best of time,s with both pcp and spring rifle,s but when it come,s to vermin i take them out with one shot and place the pellet where i need it to be always atvbmac 1 Quote Link to post
