i was always lead to believe that you lads wouldnt take any shit over there?you shoot and sort out the drug dealers and other scum in your neigbourhoods then why not these cnuts?if you know whos doing it then why aint they gone missing?or had the pleasure of spending the rest of their days pissing through a bag attached to the ankle?burn the b*****ds first  hope this lad gets his dog back-and something gets done-how many would want to steal them if the outcome was 1 to the back of the head and left outside the local garda station with a dog collar around the neck?they would soon fade away for sure.atb Bobby

Fair play to ya Liam for putting that up,this stealing of dogs is not going to stop until some of them scummy b*****ds that are doing it are left wondering was it worth it.The worst thing about it is

There was a situation a few year ago where dogs were robbed[lurchers] on a chap I know who lives about 4 mile away.He got information that the dogs were on a site in the fingles area of Dublin so alon

As long as there's people with money wanting to buy second hand dogs with no questions asked there's going to be dog thieves.

Oh, yeh, lets break their legs, lets shoot them etc. etc.

How come we never hear of these scum bags getting what they deserve ?

The 2 b*****ds up the North are still flat out robbing dogs and seem to have a steady line of punters. In fact they love to rob dogs that are known to be good as it builds the reputations of the scum to those that are buying them mostly in England.

Then there's the lowlife in Limerick who's buying stolen dogs of a load of dog thieves around Ireland. I've heard of lads even seeing their stolen dogs in this scumbags halting site and they still left without them.

Why ??

Because they were told if they took the dogs back their houses would be burnt down.

Now I hear loads of lads saying "they wouldn't scare me". Bullshit.

I've even heard of scum who knowingly buy stolen dogs and then get out of the game when their own dogs get lifted.

Always remember, in a lot of cases, and I mean a lot, the thief has already been on your yard. So think long and hard about the sort of lads you've had around the place.

Also, if your buying an adult working dog unless you have 110% proof it's genuine there's every possibility your buying a stolen dog.

If you are a dog swapper , ie. someone who's always changing their dogs, then your probably part of the problem and coming on here saying "sorry to hear that mate" makes you a part, big or small, to the dog stealing problem.

Like it or not but JMHO.

can they sell dogs that are micro chipped

If the english boys stop crying out for the good old irish terriers there wouldnt be a market for them to be stolen!

daughter showed me a link on her facebook page last week , think its called traffic watch ni , two men in a FORD TRANSIT where calling to houses in Gilford co Down offering their services to do work around the property , while one was at the front door the other was around the back stealing dog/s or checking out kennels etc .ps Neil could you not name the two boys operating in the north .

I'd love to name every dog thief I know off but that would leave me wide open to be sued.

Remember, some scumbags think stealing dogs is part of the doggy game and they are proper dog men. To be called a scumbag would be an insult.

Also, a few years ago a fellow, who lives only a few miles from me, who kept terriers (I wont call him a terrierman as he's a messer.) had all his terriers stolen, twice in fact.

He rang me crying his eyes out down the phone asking me could I help him get them back.

To cut a long story short I gave him a name and then I had this scumbag on the phone threatening to do me in.

Another time the same theft victims brothers lurcher was stolen. I jumped a wall ,on my own, of a known dog thieves house looking for the lurcher. It wasn't there. I'd have got a serious kicking if I was caught.

We then found out that the lurcher had been dumped 20 miles up the road and was wandering around.

The owner said it was too far to go for the dog and left it there.

So after that I swore the only stolen dogs I'd ever look for were if I was unfortunate enough to get a visit from the lowlifes.

Mind you, I had a hunch about a terrier last year that was newly bought by his new owner and found out it was one I bred and had been stolen.

His proper owner got it back.

As for micro-chipping ?

It has got dogs back to their owners in the past but usually when the dogs have gone through several hands and the thief rarely gets caught.

Dog thieves don't care about micro-chipping.

Even tattooing doesn't work. As far as I know when the two scumbags from the North paid another lowlife to steal the beagles from Cork a couple of years ago they were all tattooed.

A lifetimes breeding stolen in one night for probably a bit of weed or charlie.

Neil you are spot on if the lads from Limerick have your dogs there is not a whole lot you could do only try buy them back. Its really sad it has come to this as it is turning people of walking there dogs and bringing them to working terrier shows. It is so easy for the thiefs now if they seen your dog at a show and liked him all they need is your registration number on your car and they can go to the Internet type it in and for around 20 euro they can get all your details name address the lot. Dog men should keep there dogs locked away and talk them down instead of bigging them up.

LADs Lets add names to this or pm if you like just so i can keep these C**TS out, :censored: a dog was stolen in charville and popped up over in england at show and believe me the man holding the dog never helded one again after the bating he got, told a blind lie and said he had it since a pup but the only way to prove it was the tail was broken at the very end :icon_eek:
The lads im talking about even if I gave you names will make no differance because if you were a thick enough person to do something to these people you would only be walking yourself in to serious bother now im no small man or there is not a man in ireland I wouldn't stand toe to toe with but I have kids and these men would burn me and them in the bed there animals and these are the lads that were supposed to of taken the dogs from the northside of cork city as you said you no off them.

I pity anybody that would be in a situation like that, no one is a law onto themselves unless you let them do so. It's sad that dog thefts are on the increase everywhere Ireland/England etc. Most lads that have there dogs stolen never get a sniff off were they went! No big man image about it. I'd say that if most off them knew were they were it would be sorted one way or another, either way it shouldnt be them sleeping with 1 eye open after it. That's why I find it shocking!

Edited to say. its common knowledge that alot of these dogs are known to be crossing the water in both directions, as said earlier by the time the info is found out god knows were the dog is at that stage. Nothing will be done by sitting back and accepting this.

we spoke in confidence to a cop,hes a friend of a hunting mate of mine.he told us where the dogs are MOST LIKELY to be.now he explained theres over 60 dwellings on this site, each one has an adult male, head of the family in it,each father living there has at least 2 sons.so giving that is a reasonable assumption,,, that so far makes out that theres 180 male adults living together in that site.he told us the majority are not yhe nicest of people as he had to deal with them at one time.so what you going to do?get 60-80 lads together and storm the place?.........YOUR STILL OUT NUMBEERED BY A LONG SHOT.Ive had these scum on my back garden wall 3 times,my youngest son confronted them twice, they dont give a shit and as the cop said it isnt worth loosing your house or life for a dog .your not dealing with ordinary trash here, they need to be caught alone and dealt with by unknown people and justice payed out with a vengance.it wont happen though for as long as one terrier man is not being interfered with they dont want to know.whos up for starting a secret punishment gang to get the b*****ds back?................no one, cause we all have families and homes they care too much about.the cop told me they got a call to another site one day over a theft and assault case.they drove in and when asked where to find a certain individual, they were sent looking at the rear of an extensive site, they parked the cop car up and started knocking at doors.no one surprisingly knew who this WELL known traveller was.while down the rear of the site they heard an explosion and when they returned to the car they found it blazing on fire.it was burn to the ground.the cops called for back up and to this day no one was ever charged for the burning of the cop car.he said thats what yer dealing with,if you want to walk in and demand yer dogs ,work away, but dont think they'll just hand them over to ye.
