pointer 543
The fishing is slow this year, I was out on the Famous from Hartlepool on Sunday and no mackeral but about 15 cod were landed and a few more lost but that's not much between a dozen fishermen. Still it was a nice day out at sea on a good boat,it should pick up soon. Quote Link to post

Nik_B 3,790
As long as you have a strong stomach Ruby My dad took me on a sea fishing trip a few times years ago. One time off the coast of Devon the sea was pretty rough and one person started puking up, then the next and the next...it was contagious. Good fun reeling those Mackerel in though Quote Link to post

I like the Famous and its known as a good boat with good skippers. Its owner also has the Ali-cat both catamarans which are a pleasure to fish from with loads of room and the handle the swells better. I don't get to go boat fishing much as I like my carp fishing and it can sometimes be hard to get out on a weekend as they are usually fully booked. If you get the chance do it, it's not cheap i guess at forty quid and I reckon I can spend another twenty of tackle, lead and bait.ill be honest I wouldn't be interested in doing it regular as I prefer fish that fight on light tackle like carp and tench but I always enjoy the days I do go out on boats. I'm off to the Canaries in September to see if I can get another few skate and rays and maybe a tuna now those boys can pull a rod over lol Edited June 11, 2013 by pointer Quote Link to post
