A Science Question....

Well, ya cocky lab loving twat :D I genuinely couldn't put my finger on the answer. Walshie is correct though. Not sure what caused the beer to spill though.... :hmm:

Guess that as the water in the beer turned to ice it expands forcing some of the beer out.

It's called expansion :whistling:

when we lived in Germany i use to store crates of grolsch on the balcony, only problem was sometimes it got that cold that it froze and forced all the flip top open, but when a can freezes it doesn't explode :hmm:

Er Wrong!!! I have proved this on several occassions :laugh: Cans explode in the freezer as surely as a concrete paving slab with explode when used as a charcole fire pit base :laugh: :laugh:

Thing is, ice doesn't cause that much of an expansion. As that little youtube clip pip put up shows. Just curious that it made a mess......

If ice can break an engine block, it can certainly bust a can.

"Frothed a tad" :laugh::laugh:

get 2 cans shake one like mad and then put both in the freezer overnight, tell us of the outcome tomorrow :D

My mrs's old house mate once put a few bottles of champers in the freezer for quick chilling. short time later we took one out, drank it and forgot about the other two till the morning. One had frozen solid but was fine, the other had exploded and filled the whole top of the freezer with champagne flavoured slush puppie!! It would've been lovely but it had 1000's of bits of glass in it :cray:

don't know why one went, but not the other one. Maybe an inherent weakness in one bottle that the other didn't have.
