hopeb88 0
I wonder if anyone on here could help with this mystery which happened last month. A pair of swans in the local park had seven cygnets which all seemed healthy but a few days later they had all vanished without trace and no one has a clue what happened to them. This pair have been having young for years with no problems and if the odd one had been taken by a predator it would make sense but not all seven and six ducklings also have gone missing. Terra Firma 136
Last summer I was doing my usual walk around the gravel pits and found the carcasses of 5 swans all crowned, they feed them in with bread then loop a rope about the neck and drag them in.
scothunter 12,609
well if its that bad,why does those useless c**ts in the rspca not go gunning for them and stopping this.or is it a case its far easier persecuting british hunters.who respect thier quarry.i cant imagine it being easy to prosecute one of those c**ts,they will just plead ignorance or dissapear into the millions of others in this country that they cant keep tabs on.

There was a program on not so long back where a polish family were caught bang to rights cooking a swan, they even found the feathers, head, wings etc in a bag in there dustbin. they were not charged due to lack of evidence lack of evidence isn't a consideration for them when it comes to private prosecutions for hunting offences

reaper1064 285
Another vote for the Polish. At my local fishery eastern Europeans are banned due to them taking the carp home to eat. They were catching them and giving them the coup de grace in full view of everyone, there was nearly a riot as the regulars wanted to give them a kicking.
