I think some of the psycologists said that he wasn't classed a serial killer as he wasn't motivated by sex or power but by greed though with a body count of over 200 supposedly then he's certainly up there with the best or worst of them!

read the book and am lookign forward to the movie, however I think he is full fo shit meself, he seems to have poencilled himself into some of the mobs greatest hits lol

they all do mate lol there never gonna potray themselfs as f***ing idiots/at end of day he was lucky with not getting clipped himself.Think what saved him was the fact his boss was killed, and he got the jail out of the mobs reach. did he grass anyone up?or did he take his medicine like a man.

Kuklinski was complete fraud. If you listen to him he'll have you believing he killed Jimmy Hoffa.

He took credit for others' murders within the Mafia and even claimed to have had something to do with several high ranking hits in the Gambino family.

You want a true Mafia serial killer, go read about Roy DeMeo and the Gemini Crew.

For anyone interested, here's a documentary covering the Mafia. It's a sort of "Brief History Of".

If you want a link to a documentary on a more specific area of the Cosa Nostra, let me know, I'll see what I can dig up from my old laptop.

I got the feeling he was spinning a few exaggerated yarns too. Having said that, there is a menace about him in interviews. He certainly creeps me out more than any other infamous villain

I'm not saying he isn't a stone cold killer. He is. He's murdered at least a hundred mobsters (his favored method being an icepick in the ear to give the appearance of a brain hemorrhage, hence his nickname The Iceman). But he is also undoubtedly a liar.

There were even rumors he invented a small spraying device fitted to his arm that would poison people when sprayed from his sleeve. He was innovative as well as criminally insane.

I also heard he practiced using the spray on local cats.

I thought he was called the iceman because he often froze the bodies and kept them for ages so the police couldn't determine the time of death? Also this is how he got caught because on of the bodies he left to be found was still partially frozen inside when they p/med it.

Something that struck me about the whole thing is how easy it seems to get away with murder, he would just leave bodies on a park bench etc and somehow went on for years after with no charge?

Defo an exaggerating b*****d, but on the whole not really the worst thing about him though

There are numerous theories as to where he got his nickname. It's a matter of taking your pick. I personally went for the one I mentioned because of mob testimony/wiretaps I've come across. They seem believe it's due to his favored icepick method. But the guess is as good as anyone's. There so much myth concerning Kuklinski that dissecting the truth can be difficult.

It is easy to get away with murder, when you're as resourceful as the Mafia. Over the course of their history, they've murdered thousands of people and had nearly two centuries honing their skills. They've become quite efficient in the business of death. Many of them go decades without being discovered. It's only when the police actually started sniffing around the Fountain Avenue dump on informants testimony that they finally found all those little pieces of people the Gemini crew had disappeared.

And I agree, his false account isn't the worst thing about him, but based on that can you trust what he says the worst thing about him is ?
