Little Hunter Is Now Blooded

Recommended Posts

First off lads im a very happy chap tonight as my grandson is now a proper hunter got to the farm about 6,20 pm with little hunter and vislauk got there 5min,s later set the scopes on all three rifles and off we went.me and little hunter settled our self,s down and waited but not for long a magpie flew into one of the tree,s and i took it out it fell into the under growth and i could not retrieve it so no photos of the magpie,s. Then a nice big crow settled on top of the tree about 34 yards away facing us so little hunter raised the ultra up to his shoulder took aim and let one off it fell like a stone with a lovely shot just left of its eye .So after all the jumping about and the well dun,s and high five,s i went and retrieved it no under growth was going to stop me getting this prize to say he was a happy boy is an under statement and so was i when i saw where he had hit it. We settled back down when another magpie flew in and i took that out to i then told him about the age old tradition of blooding when a hunter gets his first kill.I then put some blood on my finger and wiped it on the brow of his head then off we went for a walk he had two shots at two rabbits about 40 yards but missed them one only just as the pellet was millimeters above its head. We then walked into the woods where he took his second crow but did not hit it right and it flew off before dropping like a stone into the woods another 20 yards i got one hit it in the head and it was finished to. We then headed back to the car so little hunter could have some thing to eat and drink before we set off again. We met up with sean(vislauk) where upon he congratulated little hunter on his kills then we were off again we walked around but could not find anything and on the way back i saw one run about 25 yards away raised the crow sport to my shoulder and let one fly hitting it just left of its eye it was still kicking when i picked it up and little hunter was a little bit concerned that it was still alive so i held it out for him and he shot it again i told him it was just its nerve,s .When we met up with sean little hunter told him grandad dropped the rabbit but i killed it :laugh::laugh: .Then Sean showed us his rabbit so that was two good size rabbits,7 crows as sean got 4 to,and 2 magpie,s .We then had a cup of coffee then another walk around but nothing about so we all headed home a very very good night was had. As im writing this out little hunter is flat out on the couch and i cant but help as i look over at him and smile as i think of how proud i am of him and the way he is coming on as a little hunter .And as the year,s roll on and me and sean are no longer here he will be teaching his son,s or grandson,s and saying ,ill teach you the way my grandad and uncle sean tort me ATVB ladsMAC
