Speedie how long was that ago????? Do you not think the hares are alot better then what they where years ago. Surely saulki blood is must.

Surely the hares in places must be better having been hunted as much as they have been in the last 20 or more years .Lot easer to travel now and good places get hammered so the best are the ones that are left.Saulki blood a must why the black bitch im on about could run hares single handed anywhere I brought her. People say im mad for saying that but most people thought the little bitch that I ran at that time was the best I ever had .Truth is the little bitch could and did kill a lot of hares but at the right time of year she would struggle to stop them .If I ran them double as I did and most people at the time did the little bitch would kill almost every hare they ran.This hunting game is strange all people see is a dead hare seems the time of year or the amount of dogs after it or letting it run where it wants to go don't matter as long as its dead.You lads that are not long at the game listen to a lot of shite but take a bit of advice wait till the right time of year give the hare a fair start let out yer dog on its own and then yea will know what yea have .It don't matter what way its bred if it can do the job that's all that counts as I said on here before if we new how all these great dogs could be bred we would all have them.

 

And the game would be finished,as there would be no hares left lol

speedie to be fair years ago most people hunted for the pot my father included so it was understandable that they doubled up there dogs and the time of year wasnt a big thing because there was mouths to feed, but now thats long changed as most people only hunt for sport so why double these dogs up? surely thats not sport and why hunt wrong time of year? again surely thats not sport? now haveing that said accidents happen and 2 dogs will end up on a hare from time to time but not all the time, im no expert but i think if everyone ran there dogs single and at the right time of year there would be a lot more hares around

Well that's it banner I can't see why people does go out purposely to double up it proves noting and it leaves you not knowing what you have on the end of the lead,wouldn't you be better of knowing you have a good one running them single now instead of doubled up and slipping in,if the dog is no good why hold into them for 6 to 7 years cause line is going back to 80s lol I don't know if they don't work try again and hope you get one that can do it single bite the bullet I prefer to see a dog running single and being able in the pits of winter,as you said banner it is a sport now and not for the kills if the dogs don't suit they might suit another ład for few rabbits or evens pet,your only coding yourself holding onto a dog that can't last the run or jacks now and again cause if you meet new lads on bigger land better hares surly you are in trouble,or maybe just hunt to yourself and keep your dogs tight on leads not let them of talk them up you get away with it for a while but the truth always cones out,

Exactly banner man and as you have seen on dvd some of us try and run single .So their comes a time when anyone has to say stop I cant be out with these men anymore because its not sport its only about killing.I know people that are out all year round getting pups going or what ever .This should be a good year for hares with the silage being so late but instead people keep hunting and killed all the pregnant females and the f****d out bucks so what can yea do .Theirs places in Ireland where their is still sport to be had but only because the people that know about them respect the game that's on their
