low plains drifter 10,727
its a sport alright, but if your dogs get strait lined after a couple mins,or you have notting coming home its not nice, people will say its all about the run but if lads were been truthful of course its about the catch Whenever one of my dogs is running,I want him to catch, but the word sport would have no place if they caught every time Quote Link to post

brendy mc l 694
all hare dogs need lung weather its in ire or eng cause if the hare not killed quick by the wiz banger it hard to watch the dog get blown away every week most hare dogs here would need at least 4 mins I would think running a hare up around hills and running a hare on flat land totally different 2 mins up around hills be like a 3 min run on flat land Quote Link to post

BOLIO1 1,078
I have this pal I've known since the mid 80's and when we were in the field with him about 17 years ago his bitch had been laid off for five weeks with a hamstring injury. It was the Temple Bruer cup and she won it with 4 out of 5. That bitch went on to win the British doubled up championships and the Forley singles....beatin Foxy..on two consecutive weekends the following season....and her name was DANCER! And Dancer was no plodder, believe me! Quote Link to post
