been thinking of getting a vitara and need to know what to look out for as in bad points ect

i have 2 grand budget to spend so i need to know what year im looking at for that price ,milage ect

are these decent 4x4 prob wont be to much off road as such but something as a family car too..

just got 70k full history deisle on 2000 v plate for £1300 if your getting a deisle theres a choise of engine mazda or Peugeot mazda I was told to hang out for being the better of the two ,mazda has a alloy rocker cover and the other is plastic .ive friends with them swear by them and very realy let them down .don't be shy on getting a petrol as there as good .

I might be wrong but....The mazda rf engine was in the 96/96 models so weren't really GV's, mine wasn't on the logbook. I have a 2001 GV now & they have the peugeout 2.0HDI engines, reliable & cheap to replace. Mate has the petrol & said its shit on fuel, my diesel does 35 round the doors & 40-42 on a run. Decent motors if you find a good one

Used to have one on a P reg... not a grand viatara... but a vitara lwb as they were known as

 

With the seats folded. 2 men and 2 big dogs no problem...

hi mate iv got the deisel grand vitara on 03 plate with the peugeot engin in it and with alloy rocker cover and it will go anywhere with the right tyers on it hell of a 4x4
