I reckon that's true lab. I'm a madras man, love it. From the first mouthful I can tell the quality of the chicken in it. Red hot and the chickens shit, hot and its nice and that's from the same curry house. Don't like vindaloo, just heat and no taste. A chicken tikka jalfrezi extra hot is well tasty. Had a jalfrezi the other night and my 10 year old boy was acting the man, saying he was going to eat one of the whole green chillies that it had in it! It's only these cheap curries that get you?? there is an Indian lady in Leicester who prepares and sells curry sauces, they vary from very hot to very mild ,these sauces add to the taste of the meat or fish that you use not overpower it and there are no side effects. If anyone is ever in Leicester try the Martin Inn off of Catherine Street, the food is very good and cheap, don't be put off by the pub or the area, people come from all over to try this place and its often written about. First three nights he went to the Rupali (?) in the Bigg market, they apparently made a thing called "Curry Hell" and if you finished it, noone at the table had to pay for the meal and you got a photie and a certificate or something. John was asked not to come back after the third night of scoffing "curry hell" and not paying...he liked it and even asked the waiter to make it a bit hotter on the third night.....nutcase. The Phaal curry we know here was originally invented in Brick Lane in the East End of London but purely for the benefit of lads who wanted prove their "manliness" by eating something that is so hot it couldn't possibly have any taste left. I love chillies, I even put chilli powder in my chicken n mushroom pot noodle lol Fran, does that only apply to the mouth? That pain relief feel good thing?
