Age To Start Handling

just been out to clean hutch out and my jill has had 7 kits but 2 of them were dead what age can I start handling kits and what age can they be rehomed going to keep 2 or 3 and can they be started next season

Personally I wait until they are leaving the nest box until I start handling them.. 7 or 8 weeks should be OK for moving on, and make sure they get plenty of handling up until they leave, the more the better IMO.. Raising a litter is very time consuming if done properly.. :thumbs:

I start handling them when they start coming out the nest remove the jill at six weeks and run the kits on for a fortnight to see there all eating fine etc by themselves then rehome them
