Tiercel 6,986
Nope not yet, touch wood I never will. I bet they made a mess of the net though? TC Quote Link to post
Country Joe 1,411
The most unusual, I caught in my night netting, was my Whippet X Bedlington, the only time i took her netting, i bantered the field and when i got to the net there was a few rabbits in it, but also neatly balled up was the dug. fortunately, she hadn't struggled, and just waited for me to release, this was the first and only time I night netted with a dug. 1 Quote Link to post

R.A.W 1,987
sound like an expensive night out. i thought i was going to have a drunken old man in my net one night . it was in the middle of nowhere . i could hear him singing as i started to drive them in good job i had the lamp on me because i would of never got him out of the net he was in a shape fair play. 1 Quote Link to post
micky 3,325
I thought I would have been more common but perhaps Leicestershire is a more fox/badger friendly area than a lot of places. The night I got the two we were on the second drop, we had just killed ten rabbits and we thought we were going to get a few more ,it was a blind drop which was nearly always good for a couple , we reached the net about centre and killed a couple, i could feel the top line twitching and worked my way down In the last twenty yards were two badgers all wrapped up they had rolled over and over and the net was wound up like a snare wire, there was nothing I could do other than go back to the motor and get my grafter to kill them with , 1960s] I fetched the spade but when I got to where they had been caught they had bitten there way out , half the net was ruined and I have never gone back , not netting anyway.
