Could anyone tell me how Mr Hancock marks his dogs ears? I understand they have a DH in one ear(not sure which) and other letters in the oposite ear. How many letters are there? which ear is the DH in?

They normally have DH plus a number or letter which is the stud dog code I think in one ear ,

and a letter and three digits in the other ear which is the year code and individual pups number

Thanks Chaz, yeah helps loads, just put my mind at rest thats all. Just got worried when last night i was told for about the tenth time that my greyhound bitch looks like a collie X and she must be a hancock dog cos she has his ear markings. I knew this couldn't be true because she's registered with ngrc but i just wanted to make sure. Infact she only has DH in her right ear and only letters in her left and after doing a bit of research on the net this is all correct for the year she was born so i can now go and collect my pint i'm owed by this so called dog man who knows what he's talking about. I have to admit though, he had me questioning her breed for little while there.
