Clip 0
Could anyone tell me how Mr Hancock marks his dogs ears? I understand they have a DH in one ear(not sure which) and other letters in the oposite ear. How many letters are there? which ear is the DH in? Thanks Clip Quote Link to post
Chaz 6
They normally have DH plus a number or letter which is the stud dog code I think in one ear , and a letter and three digits in the other ear which is the year code and individual pups number my two are DHI / E476 DH47/ L732 Hope that helps Quote Link to post
Clip 0
Thanks Chaz, yeah helps loads, just put my mind at rest thats all. Just got worried when last night i was told for about the tenth time that my greyhound bitch looks like a collie X and she must be a hancock dog cos she has his ear markings. I knew this couldn't be true because she's registered with ngrc but i just wanted to make sure. Infact she only has DH in her right ear and only letters in her left and after doing a bit of research on the net this is all correct for the year she was born so i can now go and collect my pint i'm owed by this so called dog man who knows what he's talking about. I have to admit though, he had me questioning her breed for little while there. Clip Quote Link to post
